Alcohol / Winery / Micro-Breweries

Alcohol tanks

Small scale alcohol, wineries as well as micro-breweries can benefit greatly from excise tax savings knowing exactly how much final product is produced.

Issues

  • The tanks that alcohol, wineries and breweries use are not calibrated tanks.
  • No idea of the losses and no real inventory control.
  • No control over batching / blending, consistency / quality control.

Benefits to using liquid management systems

  • Portable unit offers extremely high accuracy and repeatability and the ability to move around making it ideal for smaller plants at a much lower cost compared to permanent in place systems.

Wineries / Microbreweries

  • For batching / blending a volume is programmed in, a manual valve is opened and flow goes through. An alarm will sound when flow nears the programmed value so the operator can close the valve. The next product is setup and programmed and the cycle is repeated. Thus maintain a much more consistent end product
  • The volume output of each tank can be accurately measured for actual product that will be bottled and the leftover product from the tanks can also be measured with the portable unit.
  • This gives an accurate picture of yield vs bottled.
  • Portable units can also be used to calibrate the tanks for Excise (also called strapping the tank) consult Cancoppas / Conflow for this service. Tanks can be quite off in terms of accurate measurement.
