Positive displacement (PD) flow meters measure the volumetric flow rate of a moving fluid or gas by way of precision-fitted gears or rotors containing cavities through which precisely known volumes of fluid pass. PD flow meters are very accurate and have high turndown. They work best with clean, non-corrosive, and non-erosive liquids and gases, although some models will tolerate some impurities. They require no straight runs of pipe for fluid flow stream conditioning though pressure drop can be an issue.

MX Oval Gear Flow Meters are Industrial Grade PD Flow Meter devices. The MX Meters provide true volumetric measurement of liquid thru the meter – not of scale, but actual flow measurement.

MX Meter bodies are machined of solid billet, the Rotor shafts are hardened alloy and the Rotor design is unmatched for accuracy and reliability. The MX PD Meters are for clean fluids, only – no gases or solids-laden liquids.

 

MX ExD, Intrinsically Safe, and Simple Safe Flow Meters were designed, certified and approved for most fluid Hazard Zone Atmospheres.

Hazard Meters are for clean process fluids and do not measure gases of fluids with solids. Clean Process Liquids only. ExD Flow Meters and Displays meet all ExD (Flameproof) CID1 approvals and certifications. FM-US and FM-CA, ATEX and IECEx approved and certified.
