Customer was having difficulties using other technologies due to the inability to take “rat-holing” as well as side wall build-up into account for level.
The application is a silo filled with very fine Medium-Density-Fibreboard (MDF) powder with very dusty conditions due to this fine powder.
Cancoppas supplied a BinMaster 3D level sensor along with a computer and 3D vision software installed on a panel fabricated in house. The flange is custom fabricated in-house.
Installation done by local contractor that Cancoppas employs.
The 3D offers precise image of the silo, and calculates the volume based on the variations in the 3D image. Precise measurement is achieved in cone-up, cone-down, and even rat-hole conditions. As well, the 3D shows side wall build up that allows the operator ample time to schedule a cleaning, or depending on product and silo material, the use of the BinMaster Airbrator to provide aeration and vibration. The 3D offers superior performance compared to other technologies.
