Compact Body

Environmentally Sealed Against Water Ingretion

Through the use of a magnetic shaft coupling connection, Model ES is completely sealed with an IP67 environmental rating. This coupling connection allows the encoder to be isolated from high shock and vibration, dust tight, and impervious to debris or liquid in the environment. Model ES encoders can even operate while fully immersed in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Certified for NEMA Class 4X and 6 (outdoor nonhazardous locations) and Class 4X and 13 (indoor non-hazardous locations). It is available with Class 1, Group D, Division 1 or Class 2, Division 1 Group E, F, and G rating for use in hazardous locations. It features a standard shaft seal, double bearing seals, and a cast aluminum housing with hard anodized and dichromate sealed finish. The H38 is suitable for use in petroleum service industries, solvent refining operations, spray painting applications, and explosive dust environments. 

Linear Cable Extension Transducer

The Model LT25 linear cable transducer provides digital position and speed information in a durable, easy-to-install package. The LT25 cable transducer utilizes a flexible cable, a spring-loaded spool, and an incremental optical encoder to precisely measure linear position. Cable transducers are also known in the industry as cable-extension transducers, string potentiometers, draw wire sensors, draw wire transducers, yo yo pots, linear position string pots, string encoders.

Standard Body
Available in 12 or 13 bit versions

Model H25 is available in an absolute version with up to 13 Bits of resolution. It incorporates many of the great standard features of the incremental version, including: EMI shielding, 40-lb ABEC 7 bearings, matched thermal coefficients on critical components, and custom optics. This encoder features a 12 or 13 Bit absolute parallel gray code output, a selection line for count direction, and an output latch as standard.
